A.G. Doughty was a member of the Champlain Tercentenary Commission and Quebec Battlefields Association. It was these organizations that planned the programme of events to celebrate the founding of Quebec, 20-31 July 1908. A.G. Doughty's contribution to the printed official program was his "Map of Quebec" showing the battlefield of the Plains of Abraham, and identifying the location of landmarks dating from 1639 to 1908.
