The Quebec Tercentenary Commemorative History documented the events of the Tercentenary celebrations in 1908. A.G. Doughty acted as an Interim Secretary for the planning of the Tercentenary celebrations and was acknowledged for his role in “The Origin of the Tercentenary Celebration” by E.T.D. Chambers, in The Quebec Tercentenary Commemorative History, p. 13. Throughout the celebrations A.G. Doughty was invited to a number of private events, such as a luncheon for the Prince of Wales, and several dinners, as well as, with Mrs. Doughty, the Garden Party at Spencer Wood in honour of the Prince of Wales.
